Psalms 112

Prosperity of the One Who Fears the Lord.

1 ^{▼▼ Or Hallelujah! Blessed}Praise ^{▼▼ Heb Yah}the Lord!
How ^cblessed is the man who ^{▼▼ Or reveres}fears the Lord,
Who greatly ^edelights in His commandments.
2 His ^{▼▼ Lit seed
,} ^gdescendants will be mighty ^{▼▼ Or in the land}on earth;
The generation of the ⁱupright will be blessed.
3 ^jWealth and riches are in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
4 Light arises in the darkness ^kfor the upright;
He is ^lgracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 It is well with the man who ^mis gracious and lends;
He will ^{▼▼ Or conduct his affairs with justice}maintain his cause in judgment.
6 For he will ^onever be shaken;
The ^prighteous will be ^{▼▼ Lit for an eternal remembrance}remembered forever.

7 He will not fear ^revil tidings;
His ^sheart is steadfast, ^ttrusting in the Lord.
8 His ^uheart is upheld, he ^vwill not fear,
Until he ^wlooks with satisfaction on his adversaries.
9 ^{▼▼ Lit He has scattered, he has given to...}He ^yhas given freely to the poor,
His righteousness endures forever;
His ^zhorn will be exalted in honor.

10 The ^aawicked will see it and be ^{▼▼ Or angry}vexed,
He will ^acgnash his teeth and ^admelt away;
The ^aedesire of the wicked will perish.
